Where you find us Hirvipirtit is situated about 200 km south of the polarcircle between Oulu (165 km) and Kuusamo (85 km). Jurmu/Raappanansuo is an area with 30 farms, which is located by the river Iijoki and about 20 km of the next village Taivalkoski. In Taivalkoski you find supermarkets, bank, post and restaurants.
Journey by plane: In Helsinki you have to change to a domestic flight to Kuusamo or Oulu. Domestic flights are offered by Finnair and Blue1. The flight takes about 50 minutes. The transfers can be arranged by Hirvipirtit and take 1 ¼ hours time from Kuusamo and 2 hours time from Oulu. It’s also possible to rent a rental car at both airports. by car: The journey from middle-europe takes about 48 - 60 hours time. The ferryboat Superfast between Rostock and Helsinki, or the boat connection Travemünde – Helsinki provide safe and easy travelling. The car trip from South Finland (Hanko or Turku) is about 900-1000km long and takes 10-12 hours time. By train: A trip by train can be arranged until Oulu. There is also a night train running between Helsinki and Oulu. |
